The Joan Valentine House is a licensed residential healthcare facility and cannot provide the level of care provided by a nursing home.

Angie’s House is a supportive apartment program and does not provide the level of service of a Residential Healthcare Facility.

Most of our residents cannot afford appropriate housing, even the housing they reside in at Joan Valentine House and Angie's House. Ocean Housing Alliance, Inc. subsidizes almost all of the rent paid by the residents. This is made possible by fundraising and through private donations and gifts.

With acceptance into the program, you must agree to have all government/pension checks directly deposited into OHA bank account.

Residents are required to meet the following:

Have a guaranteed source of income such as Social Security.

Be able to perform self-care

Be able to walk up/down 16 steps unassisted.
